Summary Edit

This is looking out the front door where the origional Charles and Elizabeth Brewer Beards log house stood, and the log house was torn down in 1950 and the lumber reused to build the present day house which has the same front door spot as the old cabin did, the steps as you can see in the picture are the chimney stones that were on the old cabins massive chimneys, in the distance you will see Short Creek where Old Hugh Beard and son John settled, on the left side of the picture you will see a cropping of cedar trees in the field, this is where John Thomas Beard and wife Jemima lived, there was a cabin there and the chimney rocks still remain.
