John William Milliken was born in September 1836 in Tennessee. About 1854, he married Malinda Gee in Pope County, Arkansas. Malinda was the daughter of William and Nancy Miles Gee and she was born in Livingston County, now Grundy County, Missouri in 1841. We cannot find this young family in 1860. It seems that they may have gone to Missouri about this time as two children were born there during the Civil War years. John William is listed as serving with Pope County, Arkansas troops, and it is possible that Malinda lived with family in Missouri during this time. Malinda's family was from Jefferson City, Grundy County, so it is possible they were in or near this vicinity but as yet we have no record.In 1860, John William bought land in Van Buren County, Arkansas and in 1888 he made a land purchase back in Pope County. In 1870 they were in residence in North Fork, Pope County, Arkansas with five children. They lived next to the Noah Satterfield family; Mary Catherine Milliken Satterfield was John William's sister. In 1880, listed in Archey Valley, Van Buren County, Arkansas, five of their eight children were at home and eldest son Robert lived next door. Malinda died before the 1900 census, probably in Van Buren County, and John William remarried to Sentha/Sentha Unknown, who was born in October 1856. On the 1900 census in North Fork, Pope County, Arkansas, John and Sentha "Millekin" had his youngest son John living in the home, and they lived next door to Rebecca Millikin Prince Nowlin and her two sons. John Sr. died some time before 13 February 1905 in Pope County, Arkansas because Cynthia/Sentha purchased land there on that date and in the record she is referred to as the widow of John. We do not know further information about his burial or about Sentha's later whereabouts. The children and descendants of John and Malinda Gee Milliken were:
1. Robert B. Milliken was born in January 1857 in Pope County, Arkansas. In Conway County, Arkansas on 6 August 1878 he married Martha M. Gee, who may have been related to his mother's family. She is said to have been born in 1857 also, but on the censuses her age is given as ten years younger than he was. That would mean she married very early. In 1880, Robert and Martha lived next door to his parents in Archey Valley, Van Buren County, Arkansas. By 1900, they had eight of nine children living, seven of which lived in their home in Jackson, Pope County. In 1910 they reported only six of their thirteen children still alive. They had three at home and lived next door to his sister Sarah, who married Thomas Alread, in Jackson, Pope County. Robert Milliken died on 20 November 1914 in Pope County and is buried at Walnut Grove Cemetery there. Martha continued to live in Pope County the rest of her life, near her children. She died there in 1932 and is buried at Walnut Grove as well.
2. Matilda Caroline Milliken, born in Pope County in February 1884, married John Clement/Climet Coffman there on 17 April 1902. John was the son of John Ferdinand Coffman and Esper Ann Petty, born in Pope County on 3 September 1883. From the burial records of Walnut Grove Cemetery, John and Matilda lost two infants before 1910. On that census, they are listed in Jackson, Pope County with two of four children living. His brother George lived with them at the time. Matilda had two more children but died in 1917. When he filled out his draft card in 1918, John Coffman said that he worked milling and ginning and that his closest relative was his daughter Dortha Coffman. In 1920 John was listed as a widower with four children in Lee, Pope County. We do not find a record for them in 1930; however, John filed a World War II draft registration in Pope County which stated that he was employed by the WPA District Office in Ft Smith, Arkansas and his closest relative was Mrs. J. C. Coffman of Russellville, so he was married again by that time. John died 27 November 1952 in Los Angeles County, California. The children of John and Matilda Milliken Coffman were: two infants who were buried at Walnut Grove; Dortha; Thomas Joseph who married Shirley Laura Ritter; Harmon L.; Hubert Edgar.
2. Nancy Paralee Milliken was born 4 October 1886 in Pope County. On 1 October 1905 she married James Garfield Bowden in Pope County. James was born 29 January 1882/3 to Henry Benjamin and Lucinda Caroline Scott Bowden in Arkansas. Through the various records, there are three different dates of birth for James. Some researchers record that his name was James Allen Bowden, but this is a different man in Pope County with a very close birthday. Proof of his name is the World War I draft card which he filled out in Pope County as "James Garfield Bowden" and nearest relative was listed "Mrs. Paralee Bowden". In 1910, married four years, they are at home in Jackson, Pope County, Arkansas with two little girls. They remained in Pope County for many years. In 1920 they were still in Jackson with five children and in 1930 they had five at home. Nancy died the year after, on 10 May 1931, and is buried with family at Walnut Grove Cemetery. James remarried, as on his World War II draft registration in Pope County, his nearest relative is listed as Mrs. James Garfield Bowden in Russellville. He died 9 February 1947 in Pope County and is buried at Bowden Cemetery. The children of Nancy and James Bowden are Lou Ella, who married Joseph Crawford McAlister; Pearley M., who died before she was two years old; Roxie who married Mathew Thomas Hale; a son whose name is impossible to read on the censuses; Evelyn; Olen J.; Sybil; and Geraldine who married a Blankenship.
2. Martha A. Milliken was born March of 1890 in Pope County, Arkansas and married there on 18 January 1907 to Jasper Noah Mathis. He was the son of Joel A. and Frances Jane Coffman Mathis, born in Arkansas on 21 November 1879. In 1908 Martha and Jasper Mathis had a son and in 1910 they lived in Griffen, Pope County with only the one child. Martha died before the 1920 census. By then, Jasper had remarried to Voizzie Leota Shackelford and they lived in Redlands, Sequoyah County, Oklahoma with an infant son of their own and with Jasper's son with Martha. Jasper died in LeFlore County, Oklahoma on 1 February 1964. Martha and Jasper Mathis had one son: Oscar William Mathis.
2. Levisa Luarnette Milliken, born October 1892 in Pope County, Arkansas, married Jerome Elbert Coffman on 7 October 1911 in Pope County. Her name is a bit of a puzzle as she was reported as Luarnette, Luarnet, and L. Lula on the censuses. He seems to be the son of Jerome Russell Coffman and unknown wife, as in 1910 he lived with his grandfather, Frank C. Coffman in Pope County. He was born 26 August 1890 in Arkansas. In 1920 they lived in Illinois, Pope County, Arkansas with two children; in 1930 they were in Little Rock, Pulaski County, with two girls. Levisa Luarnette Milliken died 26 February 1946 in Little Rock and she was buried at Thomas Cemetery in North Little Rock, Arkansas. Jerome died 18 October 1948 in same and is beside her at Thomas Cemetery. Their children are Doland; Violet Elaine who married Joseph Edward Holloway; Cloie Evelyn who married William L. Newkirk.

2. Robert J. Milliken was born in August 1894 and appeared on the 1900 census but not the 1910.
2. Jeanetta Frances "Jennie" Milliken was born 26 March 1898 in Pope County, Arkansas. In about 1920, she married Whit Bryan, who was born 9 October 1898 in Titus County, Texas, the son of Samuel Jesse Bryan and Emma Parsons. Whit's family lived in Franklin County, Texas when he filled out his World War I draft card in Pope County, Arkansas at the age of eighteen. By 1920, the newly married couple lived in her widowed mother's home. By 1930 they were in their own home in Jackson, Pope County with three children. Jeanetta died on Christmas Eve of 1975 in Pope County. She is at rest at Walnut Grove Cemetery. Whit Bryan died 9 June 1980 in Pope County and is also there. Their children are Laura Gladys; Jewell Bernice who married Jewell Eston Bohannon; Ruth, who died as a child; Wanda L. Bryan.
2. Lilly B. Milliken was born May 1900 and died in 1905. She is probably at Walnut Grove amongst family but we have no record of that.
2. William Floyd Milliken, born 22 June 1905 in Pope County, married Hester Opal Lay on 30 October 1927 in Pope County. They had one son, Auddie D. Milliken, in 1928 but divorced before 1930, when Floyd is listed living with his mother. Hester remarried and Auddie took the name of his stepfather and became Auddie D. Burnes, and he died in 2003 in Yakima County, Washington. William Floyd Milliken remarried in 1931 to Della Loy Gray. She was born on 13 March 1909 in Arkansas, the daughter of William A. and Murine Gray. William Floyd and Della had two sons, Shannon and Elmo. Both of the sons served in the United States Army, and both are buried at the Oakland Cemetery in Atkins, Pope County, Arkansas. Della Gray Milliken died on 13 September 1976 in Arkansas. William Floyd Milliken died on 20 December 1992 in Pope County.
2. Ralph Milliken was born in 1913 in Pope County, Arkansas. He died 16 June 1923 in Pope County and is listed as buried at Walnut Grove Cemetery with no existing marker.
1. Lavisa Caroline, called "Lavisey" or "Vicy" or "Callie" Milliken was born December 1858 in Missouri. Her name is listed in various forms on various records, but on her gravestone it is "Lavisee Caroline". On the 11th of January, 1877 she became the bride of Andrew Jackson Rackley in Pope County, Arkansas. Andrew, born 17 December 1850 in Lawrence County, Tennessee, was the son of Hiram and Elizabeth Sarah LeMay Rackley. He had been married to Henrietta Allred/Alread in 1872; she died before 1876. In 1880 Andrew and Lavisa lived in Van Buren County, Arkansas, not far from her parents with their first child. More followed, and in 1900 in Pope County, Arkansas they were listed with seven children in the home. Andrew died on 12 November 1902 and left Lavisa a widow with young children still at home. Worse, their young son Holeybaugh Rackley died a week after his father at the age of nine years. He is buried at the Bowden Cemetery in Pope County, as is his father.. Lavisa married a second time on 23 December 1903 in Pope County, to Sherman J. Jackson. He was born 15 February 1851 in Pope County and had been married a first time to Sarah "Sallie" Bowden. His parents were Mary Polly Staggs and James John Jackson of Wayne County, Tennessee and Pope County, Arkansas. In Sherman's family Bible pages, it is written that "S. L. Jackson and Mrs. Calley Rackley was married December 23, 1903". In 1910, married six years, Sherman and "Lavisee C." Jackson lived in Gumlog, Pope County, Arkansas, with two of his children and her two youngest living children. She reported that five of her eight children were still alive. On 21 February 1915, Lavisa died and was buried at Bowden Cemetery. Sherman died on 8 April 1917 in Pope County. Lavisa and Sherman had no children together; the children of Lavisa and Andrew Rackley were:
2. Lillie Ida Rackley, born in December 1879 in Van Buren County, Arkansas, married Lorenzo Dow Kindrick/Kendrick in Pope County on 27 October 1901. He was the son of Isaiah and Hannah Jackson Kindrick, born on 1 April 1870 in Pope County. He was first married to Lydia C. Bowden in 1892; she died 15 February 1900 in Pope County, leaving him with six children. He and Ida Rackley had two children together before she died on 21 March 1910. She is buried at Hoskins/Haskins Cemetery in Pottsville, Pope County, Arkansas where her stone reads "Ida Rackley". Lorenzo married a third time in 1919 and he died on 7 February 1936 in Pope County. He is buried next to his first wife at the Hoskins/Haskins Cemetery. He and Ida had a daughter named Minnie in 1901; she died in infancy and is buried at the same cemetery. They had a son, Clarence Edgar Rackley, in about 1903 and he is listed with his father in 1910 as seven. In 1920, he is still at home with his father, age 17. In 1930, we find a Clarence E. Kendrick listed as a U. S. Navy storekeeper in Pensacola, Escambia County, Florida, with him and both both parents listed as born in Arkansas. He is married recently to an Anna. Florida marriage records show a Clarence Kindrick married in 1929 in Santa Rosa County, Florida, nearby. No further information can be found at present.
2. Andrew Jackson Rackley, Jr. was born 19 May 1882 in Arkansas. He married Rose/Rosa Kendrick on 23 September 1904 in Pope County. She was the daughter of William Perry Kendrick and his wife Mary Augusta Hockett/Hoggett, born in Arkansas in July 1889. The 1910 census shows them in Wilson, Pope County, Arkansas with two toddlers. By 1920 they had moved to Gregory, Conway County, Arkansas with their son and daughter. Did they separate? In 1930, A. J. Rackley is listed next to his brother, Claude Rackley, in Canadian, Pittsburg County, Oklahoma. He is listed as 48 years old and single. Andrew died 15 August 1966 in LeFlore County, Oklahoma. Rosa is said to have died in Benton County, Arkansas. Their two children were Fay Z. Rackley, a son born in 1907, and Ethel Rackley, born in 1908, who married Houston Harris Avance and made their home in Eufaula, McIntosh County, Oklahoma.
2. Ada L. Rackley was born on New Year's Day, 1885 in Arkansas. In 1902 she married William M. "Bill" Scott in Pope County. He was the son of a John Scott, no further information. Bill was born on 5 October 1883 in Arkansas. In 1910, the family lived in Burnett, Pope County, with two small daughters. By his draft registration in Pope County, they had three daughters and he listed nearest relative Ada Scott. In 1920 they lived at Gumlog, in 1930 they were listed at Galla, Pope County. Their three girls were named Rhea, Ula, and Lorene. Ada died on 16 December 1963 in San Bernardino County, California.
2. John Porter Rackley, born 1 May 1884 in Atkins, Pope County, Arkansas, married Ada Victoria York in Arkansas in 1906. His birth year is given as several different years on records; the year we give is the one on his gravestone. Ada may have been the daughter of Amos York who was from North Carolina and in 1900 was in Marion County, Arkansas and in 1910 in Pope County. In 1910 the Rackley family lived in Gregory, Conway County, Arkansas with a young son. By his draft registration, John Porter lived in Pottsville, Pope County, and had two children. In 1920 they were listed in Gumlog of Pope County with three sons. They are not yet found in 1930, but the family was in Texas in later years. Ada Rackley died in Texas on 15 April 1969; John Porter Rackley died in Muscogee County, Oklahoma on 8 November 1971. He is buried at the Whitefield Cemetery in Haskell County, Oklahoma. Their sons listed in 1920 were Lewis Emmett, F. L., and L. O. C. Rackley.
2. Robert Claude Rackley was born 29 November 1889 in Atkins, Pope County, Arkansas. He married in 1912 in Pope County to Ethel B. Moore. Ethel was born on 6 September 1896 in Pope County, the daughter of Robert E. Lee Moore and his wife Sarah "Sally" Blackburn. He filled out his draft card in 1918 and stated that he lived in Russellville. In 1920 they were listed at Center, Pope County, with no children. By 1930 they had moved to Canadian, Pittsburg County, Oklahoma, and had two sons. They lived next door to his brother Andrew Jackson Rackley. Ethel died 20 March 1950 in Haskell County, Oklahoma and is buried at Hoyt Cemetery in Haskell County. Robert Claude Rackley died 15 October 1966 and is buried there with her. The two sons we know of are J. M. and R. A., probably Robert A.
2. Holeybaugh Rackley was born 19 January 1893 in Arkansas and died as a child on 18 November 1902. He is buried at Bowden Cemetery in Pope County.
2. Mortie F. Rackley, born 6 January 1895 in Atkins, Pope County, Arkansas, was married on 13 October 1915 to Georgia Owens. She was born 23 February 1898, the daughter of Newton B. and Elizabeth Cornelia Burnett Owens. Mortie and Georgia lived in Pottsville when he filed his draft registration in Pope County, and by 1920 they lived at Gumlog near her parents, next to his brother John Porter Rackley, and amongst many other relatives. They had a small son and by 1930, listed in the same, they had added a daughter. Mortie died 21 May 1956 in Arkansas. Georgia passed away on 13 May 1970 in Arkansas, and they both lie at the Bowden Cemetery in Pope County. Their known children are Holley Gene and Flo D. Rackley.
1. Sara Elizabeth Milliken was born in May 1862 in Missouri. She married in November, 1880 in Van Buren County, Arkansas, to a widower, Thomas Bridges Alread, sometimes spelled Allred. His middle name has also been reported as Benton. Thomas was born 14 March 1844 in Overton County, in eastern Tennessee, the son of Soloman A. Alread and Sara Jane Weeks. He served in the 1st Arkansas Cavalry, a Union force, during the Civil War. He had married first in 1866 to Margaret Susan Lankford. They had at least six children before Margaret died, probably in childbirth with the last child Jacob, who was three months old on the 1880 census. On the 1880 census, Thomas Alread was a widower of 36 with four young children and lived a few homes away from the William Wesley and Matilda Milliken Gee family; Matilda was the sister of Sara Elizabeth. By 1900, the family lived in Jackson Township in Pope County with five of their own children living in the home. Also listed in the home are his daughter from his first marriage and a grandson who seems to be her child. They are living in the midst of many relatives. In 1910, still Jackson, Pope County, they report that five of their twleve children are still living. We only have names of seven of these twelve. In 1920 and 1930 Thomas and Sara Elizabeth are listed in Illinois, Pope County. Sarah Milliken Alread died on 31 March 1931 in Pope County. Thomas lived to be ninety and died on 21 March 1934 in Pope County. The children were:
2. Sarah Malinda Alread was born 9 August 1891/2. She lived with her parents in 1900 but no further record has been found for her marriage or death.
2. Trudy Alread was born 3 October 1883 and died on 5 January 1884.
2. John Thomas Alread, born 4 October 1884, married Minnie M. Worley in Pope County on 6 January 1904. In 1910 they lived at Center, Pope County with their daughter Jewell. On his draft card in 1918, John lived in Pope County. In 1920, he and Minnie lived at Center with four of their children at home. Her sister Lou Worley lived with them. Minnie died in 1952 in Arkansas; John died on New Year's Eve, 1965, in Russellville, Pope County, Arkansas. They are both buried at McFadden Cemetery in Dover, Pope County, Arkansas. Their children are Jewell, married Noah George Frost; William Lois; Ruth and Ruby, twin daughters; Johnie Marie.
2. Oscar Lincon Alread was born 10 March 1888 in Hector, Pope County, Arkansas. He seems to have lived with his parents all their lives. He filled out a World War II draft card in Pope County and said that he was employed by John Alread, possibly his brother or another relative.

2. Abner C. Alread was born 2 November 1892 in Arkansas. He married Ora in 1907 and in 1910 they lived in Pope County, married three years with no children. It is reported that he died on 8 January 1915, as well as his sister Ida.
1. Matilda Jane Milliken was born in 1864 in Arkansas. On 11 May 1879 in Pope County, Arkansas, she married William Wesley Gee. He was born 29 September 1858, the son of John Allen and Almeda Nancy Ware Gee, who came to Arkansas from Grundy County, Missouri. In 1880, this young couple lived with his widowed mother and his four siblings in Hartsuggs, Van Buren County, Arkansas. Matilda was listed as a daughter, but she was daughter in law. This family was listed on the same census page as the Thomas B. Alread family, and Thomas would soon marry Matilda's sister Sara. Between 1888 and 1890, Matilda died either in Indian Territory, where the family was listed in 1900, or back in Arkansas. William Gee then remarried to Debora Abigail Patterson and they had a son, Wallace, born on the last day of 1894 or 1895 in Indian Territory. Debora was born in Alabama in June 1870. They lived the rest of their lives in Gans, Sequoyah County, Oklahoma. William Wesley Gee died there on 1 March 1927 and is buried at Gans Cemetery. Debora was listed as a widow on the 1930 census, no date is known of her death; her grave at Gans Cemetery does not show birth or death dates. The three known children of Matilda Jane and William Wesley Gee:
2. Jeanetta Gee was born 29 November 1884 in Archey Valley, Van Buren County, Arkansas. No marriage or death date is yet known for her.
2. John Harvey Gee was born 29 November 1884 in Archey Valley, Van Buren County, Arkansas. He married Callie Tibitha/Tabitha Henderson on 17 September 1914 in Gans, Sequoyah County, Oklahoma. Callie was born 26 February 1894 in Oklahoma, the daughter of Mack and Sarah Henderson. The young couple moved right away to Cherokee County, Texas, where John Harvey Gee filled out a draft card while living in Bullard. He farmed for Sid Rogers and his wife was Callie Gee. They are not found in 1920, but in 1930 they were in Cherokee County with three children, the first two born in Oklahoma and the third in Texas. John Harvey Gee died on 2 March 1959 in Jacksonville, Cherokee County, and Callie died 3 July 1964 in the same town. They are buried at Bullard Cemetery in Cherokee County. Their known children are Mamie J.; Arvel L. who married Dorothy; Cecil Robert who married Joyce Beatrice Pool; and a living son.
2. Sarah Ann Gee, born 22 September 1888 in Arkansas, married William Lemuel Bartlett in 1910, probably in Sequoyah County, Oklahoma. He was the son of Charles William and Rebecca Elizabeth Cossey Bartlett of Pope County and Van Buren County, Oklahoma. William was born 10 February 1888 in Scotland, Pope County, Arkansas. By the time he filed a draft card in Sequoyah County, Oklahoma, he had a wife and three children to support. This family is not found yet on the 1920 census; in 1930 they lived at Tuskahoma, Pushmataha County, Oklahoma with their seven children at home. They eventually moved to Stanislaus County, California with relatives and made a home there. William died on 29 May 1951 there and he is buried at Modesto Citizens Cemetery in that county. Sarah Ann Gee Barlett died on 23 April 1965 and she is also at rest there. The children of this couple were: Gertrude who married Adrian Albert, Mabel Ann who married Roger Davis Wade, Charles "Charley" Lewis who married Clara Celestia Era Moses, Iva Mae who married Harold Lydell Crandell, Troy who married Joyce Alline Bue, his twin brother Roy, and Wanda L.
1. Emeline Tabitha Milliken was born in 1867 in Arkansas. On 24 August 1880 in Van Buren County, Arkansas, the fourteen year old bride married William Millsaps, whose age was given as 23 on the marriage license in Van Buren County. The only trace of his family we have found is that in 1880 before the census was taken in Archey Valley, Van Buren County, we find a William Millsaps, age 23, single, born in Tennessee, listed in the home of his parents, John T. and Mary A. (Cross) Millsaps. Other members of this family eventually lived in Canadien, Cleveland County, Oklahoma. Both William and Tabitha may have died before the census in 1900; we can find no further trace of them and no children.

younger sister--his father was Thomas Alread and his step mother was Sara Elizabeth Milliken, see previous notes for her. Robert Henry Alread was born in Arkansas in 1868. When finally listed on a census, in 1900, Rebecca and Robert Alread lived in North Fork, Pope County, Arkansas, married eleven years, and three of their six children were still living. We do not know the names or ages of the three who had died. Before June 1906, they had moved to McIntosh County, Oklahoma, as they had a son born there in that month. Rebecca died there on 23 December 1907 and she is buried at Brooken Cemetery in
Robert Henry Alread
Haskell County. She and Robert had had eight children together. In 1910 he was listed as a widower in McIntosh County. Before the 1920 census, Robert remarried, to Ruthie Tennessee Pitts. In that census they lived with Robert and Rebecca's two youngest children still at home. Robert is said to have died in 1928, and in 1930 Ruth, a widow, lived with her stepson, the youngest child of Robert and Rebecca Alread. Ruth remarried to L. J. Wynn on 17 July 1932 in Eufala, McIntosh County, Oklahoma. She died on 7 April 1952 and is buried at the Triplett Cemetery in McIntosh County. The children of Rebecca Milliken and Robert Henry Alread are:
2. Nancy JaneAlread was born 6 February 1892 in Russellville, Pope County, Arkansas. It is possible that another middle name was Parlee/Paralee, as that was her mother's middle name and Nancy was listed as "Nancy P." on the 1900 and 1910 censuses, but her descendants list Nancy Jane as her full name. She married James "Jim" Duncan on 20 August 1910 in Muscogee County, Oklahoma. Jim was born in Indian Territory, Cherokee lands, on 12 February 1885. He was the son of Samuel and Katie Duncan, both nearly full blooded Cherokees. His grandfather was born on the Cherokee lands in north Georgia, near Dahlonega, and no doubt was on the Trail of Tears in the 1830s. James had been married a first time to a wife named Mary Jane. In 1910, James Duncan, age 22, widowed, was living in McIntosh County, Oklahoma and he married Nancy later that year. On his World War I draft card in McIntosh County, James said he farmed and his wife was Nannie Duncan. The family is not found on the 1920 census yet; in 1930, they lived in

McIntosh County with six of their eight known children at home. James Duncan died on 14 May 1941 in McIntosh County and was buried at the Groves, now Fishertown Cemetery of that county. Nancy Jane Alread Duncan died in January 1978 in Oklahoma City and is buried at Chapel Hill Cemetery there. Their children were: Sadie, Minnie Leona who married Clyde E. Cotter and second a Boorom, Lorene who married neal Richard Wildman, Helen Lois who married Bud Whisenhunt, Samuel Robert who married Susan Almeda Reece, Freeman Coy who married Johnnie Mae Davis, Buford Lee who married a Harris, and James Austin who married a White.

mber 1895. He was an afflicted child and by age 21 was listed on his draft card as a patient. In 1920, Edgar was a patient at Eastern Oklahoma State Hospital in Venita, Craig County, and the same in 1930. He died in 1948 and was buried at the State School Cemetery in Paul's Valley, Garvin County, Oklahoma.
2. Nora M. Alread was born 10 April 1900 in Russellville, Pope County, Arkansas. She married John William Blake in 1917 in Oklahoma. He was born 14 June 1892 in Alma, Crawford County, Arkansa, the son of Hannah C. Simmons and James Lafayette

Blake, who were both natives of Illinois. His younger brother Jesse would marry Nora Alread's sister. In 1920 John and Nora lived at McIntosh County, Oklahoma with one child; in 1930 they were in Beaver, Caddo County, Oklahoma with three daughters. Before 1951 they may have moved to California, and John Blake died on 18 October 1969 in Firebaugh, Fresno County, California. Nora Alread Blake died 10 September 1989 in Checotah, McIntosh County, Oklahoma. Their three known children are: Edna Mae who may have married a Crawford, Lois Oleda who married Connie Columbus Williams, and Marie.
2.Maude Dell Alread, born 24 February 1902 in Russellville, Pope County, Arkansas, married Jesse Howell Blake on 16 April 1921 in Oklahoma. He was the brother of John William Blake, who married Maud's sister Nora. In 1930 he and Maud lived at Cobb, McIntosh County, Oklahoma with two small sons. last child was born there that year. Jesse Blake died 14 August 1968 in Hanford, Kings County, California. Maude died on 18 Ocotber 1982 in Los Angeles County, California. They had five children: Lloyd Watson, Raymond Quincy, blanche Delores who married a Rudd, Nora Coleen who married Robert Dale Reed and then Frank William Gillette, and Doris Darleen (Arleen on her California Birth Record), who died as a young child.

Washita County, Oklahoma with two small children and his stepmother, Ruth Alread, in their home. this family moved to California eventually and Grace died there in Santa Cruz County on 10 March 1968. William Charles Alread died on 22 December 1986 in Morgan Hill, Santa Clara County, California. They had five children, two are living and Ruby Vesteen who married Willard Williams, William Clifford who married a McReynolds, and Doyle Utah who married an Atkins.
1. Nancy Margaret Millikin was born in Arkansas on 12 August 1877. She married Charles Marshall Alread on 2 March 1892 in Pope County, Arkansas. In 1900 Charles and "Patsy" Alread lived in Pope County with a baby daughter. In 1910, they were in Sequoyah County, Oklahoma, living at Gans; they had had seven children but only three were living. They moved back to Arkansas before 1920 and lived at Illinois in Pope County, parents to five children at the table. We have yet to find the family on the 1930 census, but they were probably in Lawrence County, Arkansas. Nancy died on 4 January 1929 in Lawarence County, Arkansas and was buried at the Lawrence Memorial Park in Walnut Ridge, Lawrence County. Charles Alread lived to be 92 years old. He died on 24 October 1964 in Harrisburg, Poinsett County, Arkansas and was buried with Nancy at Lawrence Memorial Park.
2. Lillie F. Alread was born in July 1899 in Pope County, Arkansas. She appeared on the 1900 census as a baby, but was not listed on the 1910 census. We do not know a burial site.
2. Arnold Clarence Alread was born in 1903 probably in Pope County, Arkansas. He married in Lawrence County, Arkansas on 20 May 1925 to Johnnie Lindsey Long. She was the daughter of John Charles Long and Mary Ellen Anderson, born on 21 July 1907 in Arkansas. Arnold and Johnnie had a son, Arnold Jr., who died as a baby in 1926. Arnold and Johnnie never appeared on a census together, as Arnold Alread died on 14 April 1928 in Craighead County, Arkansas. He was buried at the Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Lawrence County, Arkansas. Johnnie Alread was listed as a widow on the 1930 census, living with her parents in Lawrence County. With her was her two year old daughter. She remarried on 21 May 1931 in Lawrence County to Orval Drew Hare, who died in Arkansas in 1938. Johnnie appeared on the 1940 census, once again a widow, in Lawrence County with her daughter. Johnnie Hare died 20 March 1989 in Stephens, Ouachita County, Arkansas.
2. Theodore Alread was born in Arkansas in 1905. On the 1910 census, he was with his parents, aged five, but does not appear on the 1910 census.
2. Georgia Mae Alread was born on 5 February 1907 in Gans, Sequoyah County, Oklahoma. She married on 7 March 1925 in Lawrence County, Arkansas to Herbert Clo Long, the brother of Johnnie Long, who married Georgia's brother Arnold just a couple of months later. Herbert was the son of John Charles and Mary Ellen Anderson Long. He was born in 1904 in Arkansas. In 1930, Herbert and Georgia lived at Walnut Ridge, Lawrence County, with no children. Herbert died on 2 December 1932. He was buried at the Lawrence Memorial Park in Walnut Ridge. Georgia remarried on 26 December 1935 in Egypt, Craighead County, Arkansas to Joseph Samuel "Joe" Chestnut, the son of Samuel and Sarah Hudson Chestnut. Joe was born 2 April 1880 in Gatewood, Ripley County, Missouri. He had been married before to Emily Angelina Grace and they had children. In 1940, Georgia and Joe Chestnut lived in Virginia, Pemiscot County, Missouri with two of his teenage children. He died on 20 December 1945 in Memphis, Shelby County, Tennessee; they lived in Randolph County, Arkansas at the time. His stone is at the Lawrence Memorial Park Cemetery in Walnut Ridge, Lawrence County, Arkansas. Georgia married a third time on 22 June 1948 in Monette, Craighead County, Arkansas to Roy Green Winstead. Roy was born on 31 October 1897 in Kentucky, the son of James Robert and Dollie Martin Winstead. He had been married before, as well. Georgia and Roy had a son in 1943. Roy died on 14 December 1968 in Monette, Craighead County, Arkansas and was buried at the Monette Memorial Cemetery. Georgia died on 18 January 1970 in Monette and she is buried next to Roy Winstead at Monette Memorial.
2. Ida Ray Alread was born on 17 January 1912 in Spiro, LeFlore County, Oklahoma. She married James Ellis Spurlock on 2 May 1930 in Lawrence County, Arkansas. He was the son of James Laten and Mary Spurlock, and he was born in Mississippi on 10 April 1911. During World War II, he was a private in the United States Marine Corps. James died 13 January 1990 in Harrisburg, Poinsett County, Arkansas. Ida died at the age of 93 on 29 January 2005 in Harrisburg. They are buried at the Marked Tree Cemetery in Poinsett County.
2. Mary E. Alread was born about 1915 in Arkansas. She is on the 1920 census with the family. No further information is known at this time.

1. John D. Millikin was born in October 1880 in Arkansas. He married 26 May 1901 in Arkansas to Katie Tyler, who was born in June 1877 in Arkansas. She was the daughter of Allen J. Tyler and Sarah Arilla Hern. In 1910, John and Katie, married nine years, were living in Burnett, Pope County, Arkansas with their three children; one other child had died. Because of spelling difficulties with this name, and a lack of burial records, this is the only record of this family that we have found. ANY helpful information would be much appreciated.
